A WORD FROM THE LISTING AGENT

This website was designed to serve as an information-rich resource for all real estate agents and interested parties alike. It was created through our team's first hand experience spending weeks on the lake; from periodically checking in on the comprehensive remodel all the way until our initial photo and video production dates. As a result, we've spent hours on the lake itself - literally taking out the floating dock and swimming on hot days, and doing our best to do as little work as possible. We walked through all of the paths that link the property to the dozens of shops, gyms, and restaurants that are less than 20 minutes away (go to Hawker's Asian Street Food, by the way). We flew our drones, legally we think, all around Chapel Hill right from the back yard and there was a constant sense of surprise at just how close this lakefront gem is to everything this community has to offer.

The end result is that everything we communicate through this resource comes from a genuine place, so be sure to spend some time checking out everything we created, because, well, we took that stroll over to the Chapel Hill public library. We walked to Whole Foods to buy our crew some snacks. I swung by Starbucks to thank my team for working hard to get the perfect shots. We had those (three) drinks at Stony River Steakhouse. We ate those (not saying how many) tacos at Bartaco. We watched the sunsets and the sunrises, and when I reflect on the experience I can honestly say: I am excited for the person or family that gets to call this place home. It really is a rare and fantastic place to live, and I can say that, because I basically did for several weeks of my life.

RESTORING A TIMELESS MID-CENTURY MODERN HOME.

Mid-Century Modern design is enjoying a major renaissance. The philosophy embodied several core values, including an emphasis on organic and geometric shapes, practical function, open and architecturally interesting floorpans, and perhaps most important of all, a commitment to bringing nature indoors. With these ideas in mind, the decision to renovate the property was made in August 2021. The goal was simple: restore the structure to its former glory, while also balancing the core mid-century design philosophies with modern sensibilities. Work performed was exhaustive, expensive, and took place over the span of 6 weeks. The end is result speaks for itself, and it's gorgeous.

EXTERIOR

All exterior surfaces were refinished and/or repainted. This includes the docks, deck, patios, exterior siding, chimneys, planters, and more. Literal tons of yard debris, invasive shrubs, view-obstructing trees, and other forms of vegetation were removed by the truckload. Then, several tons of gravel was brought in to extend the parking area and round out the front entry path. The planters were brought back to life. Any signs of broken seals were repaired. Old utilities were removed. Google Fiber was installed.

INTERIOR

All interior ceilings, walls, brick surfaces, and cabinets were refinished and/or repainted. New stainless steel appliances and gas lines were installed. New granite countertops and luxury vinyl floors were added in the kitchen. New carpet was installed in the living room, den, office, and signature bedroom downstairs. Light fixtures, closet doors, and hardware were replaced. 90% of the interior has been transformed.
